dnata is an international provider of ground handling services present in 19 airports across eight countries with its head office in Dubai. dnata Switzerland has been providing ground handling services at the international airports of Zurich and Geneva for over 40 years. - Due to the scheduled retirement of the present postholder, we are looking for a qualified - Chief Executive Officer (m/f) - The person will initially take up work in a COO function whereby the four operational profit centers at Zurich and Geneva will report to him/her directly. This will provide an excellent insight into the daily operations. Step two will include the transfer of the CEO duties from the present job holder early 2013. - Responsibilities: -
- Responsible for the revenues and costs of dnata Switzerland
- Take responsibility for the ground operations, consisting of airline and cargo handling, both at Zurich and Geneva (employee span 700 FTE"s) with a high focus on service excellence and safety
- Act as a leader/coach and continue to maintain the existing strong business relationships with our customers and airport partner companies
- Intensive involvement in the offering and contracting process
- Must be able to take an active part in marketing initiatives (CRM)
- Maintain strong communication across all internal functions within the key principals (finance, operations, quality, safety)
- Eligibility: - Our candidate must -
- have a proven track record at managerial level in the aviation industry (airline, airport or handling company) for at least 3 years. Excellent knowledge of airport handling processes is an asset
- be a team player with the necessary leadership quality to identify and negotiate the winning solution in the highly competitive aviation service environment
- have a commercial or technical background with a recognised business qualification and a good sense of figures (budgeting, forecasting, reporting)
- have a strong commercial awareness and first class negotiating ability with senior contacts in our industry
- have an excellent knowledge of verbal and written German and English, French is an advantage
- have the legal right to live and work in Switzerland. The company will not provide or assist in obtaining a work permit
- ideally be between 35-53 years old
- The job holder reports to the board of dnata Switzerland and will be located at Zurich Airport. Travel includes visits to industry meetings and commercial visits of customers and other stations within our network.
