Providing Flexible Resourcing Solutions - CTC Clinical Trial Consulting, founded in Basel, Switzerland in 1997, is a specialist staffing organisation, providing flexible resourcing - solutions to the pharmaceutical industry in Switzerland, with contract and permanent placements in clinical development, data management, - statistics, regulatory affairs and medical marketing. - For one of our clients, we are currently looking for a - Clinical Operations Supply Manager - Reference Number: 10-11-593-COSM-M - Type of placement: Contract - Location: Switzerland, Basel - Purpose: - The Operations Supply Manager (OSM) is the global interface to Supply Planning & Design (SP&D), Labeling, Technical Research and Development (TRD) QA and other supportive functions for Drug Supply Management (DSM) Operations. The OSM acts as a consultant for packaging designs for SP&D, contributes to the make vs. buy decision for in-house packaging campaigns and is responsible for the adherence to schedule and execution of packaging orders for Investigational Medicinal Products for clinical studies. - Main Responsibilities: -
- Participates in the global DSM Franchise Meeting to ensure long-term planning of packaging orders in DSM Operations CH
- Provides input in collaboration with DSM Operations CH for make vs. buy decision for packaging orders based on in-house capacity and technical equipment
- Consults and if applicable challenges packaging designs based on available and/or optimized technology and facility capabilities
- Defines best packaging options for orders together with Project Leader / Trial Manager
- Liaises globally with Supply Chain Managers of designated Franchise and the Single Plant Planner within SP&D regarding clinical supply orders and study specific information
- Contributes to the Clinical Supply and Operations Planning (CS&OP) meeting and to the tactical planning meetings of Operational units within DSM for the adherence and execution of in-house packaging order to time schedule
- Follows up with planning on the relevant data entry in the DSM planning and scheduling tool for order scheduling (Lotus Notes Planning Tool)
- Ensures that the “Supply” meets needs of customers (Quantities, timelines, sources, specifications).
- Ensures that complete documentation for packaging activities are in place for the packaging start (orders, batch documents, assignment of packaging materials)
- Provides Supply Chain Managers with milestone dates of packaging and distribution
- Coordinates label jobs with DSM India and external label provider, if applicable.
- Coordinates all packaging steps with Operations globally
- Interacts with Logistics for distribution dates or timelines where applicable
- Supports Operations for SOP writing and review
- Responsible for deviations in TRD Quality Workflows
- Creates special packaging protocols for non-standard orders, if necessary
- Supports and/or prepares shipments, if applicable
- Qualifications and Experience: -
- Good level of advanced education and previous experience in clinical trial management / drug supply management – previous experience in packaging is a plus
- In depth understanding of clinical trials supplies
- Excellent communication and project co-ordination skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
